Improving the
Living Conditions of
LaSalle Residents

Claude Lavoie
Executive Director

The Table de développement social de LaSalle (TDSL) (LaSalle Social Development Round Table) is a cross-sectoral, multi-network mechanism for concerted action which enables social and sustainable development for the ongoing improvement of the quality of life and living conditions of LaSalle residents.

LaSalle is home to a large number of organizations. The Table’s objective is to create an open, supportive and inclusive space for exchange, with a view to encouraging new members to join, while maintaining the engagement of those already involved.

We believe that organizations, as vital forces in the community, need to cooperate and mobilize to advance shared projects that will help shape LaSalle’s future.

As a neighbourhood round table, the TDSL plays many roles, including facilitating engagement approaches and spaces focused on a shared understanding of the issues facing the LaSalle community, and identifying development opportunities to bring about change through concerted projects. We fulfill our mission with the help of local stakeholders and citizens of all ages.

Working Collectively

As a non-profit, the TDSL brings together regular members, citizens and associate members, coordinating their engagement through its regular meetings, and other forums and working committees.

Strategic Planning

In the fall of 2023, the members of the TDSL adopted a strategic plan for the social development of the neighbourhood. This plan, which is in effect until 2027, was approved by its institutional partners.

Projects, Spaces and
Working Committees

Emerging projects may be added to LaSalle’s collective agenda in line with the strategic plan. Depending on community needs, the TDSL may participate in existing consultations or forums, and support the creation of new committees by providing guidance and facilitation.
